As a visual artist and choreographer, Grégoire Schaller develops transdisciplinary projects that challenge body norms, power dynamics, and dominant narratives. During his residency in Marfa with Villa Albertine, he is conducting research on the deconstruction of the archetypal Euro-American cowboy figure. No Country for Old Fag is a two-part performance: the first part will be presented at Ballroom Marfa, with the second part taking place at MAINTENANT during the closing reception of the Villa Albertine residency program. Both performances are free and open to all.
