The MARFA BIG READ, the reading program initiated by the National Endowment for the Arts, kicks off on January 10 at Ballroom Marfa with performances by Leah McWilliams and San Antonio folk singer, Azul.
On Saturday, May 9, 2009, Green Mountain's Super Earth mascot, along with representatives from Green Mountain, Ballroom Marfa, and members of the community were on hand to celebrate Ballroom Marfa's new solar panels.
We're pleased to announce that we donated a $2500 kiln to Marfa ISD, thanks to a collaborative National Endowment for the Arts grant between the school district and Ballroom Marfa.

On April 18, 2011, our Texas Biennial artist Alyce Santoro will visit Marfa Jr/Sr High School as part of Making Art Work.
The first in our lecture series features artist Kathleen Shafer, who will speak about her current work, which concerns airfields, airspace, Marfa's military history, the repurposing of spaces, and an examination of what constitutes the concepts of place and space within the fields of geography and art.
For the second year, Ballroom Marfa will present its popular week-long DJ Camp from July 18 - July 22, 2011 with instructor Faith Gay.
